Yes, I Still Love The Royals

So. My sister gets married a week from tomorrow and that’s basically what my life has been about for the past few months. There’s also been job stress, the gay marriage campaign in Oregon, moving apartments, and general adulthood tasks to absorb the time. It doesn’t mean that I haven’t followed every event and outfit coming from our dear Duchess. There’s also been an abdication in Spain, a christening in Sweden, and a pregnancy announcement from Monaco (I did not expect that). Obviously my priorities are the British Royal Family, but when it comes down to it they are all family–even the Grimaldis (Prince Albert of Monaco’s “last” name) are something like 8th cousins once removed from The Queen (and also the Spanish and Swedish families).

As tempting as it is, I can’t–won’t–recap every event I’ve missed; and I won’t promise that I’ll be back until at least a week or so after the wedding, but I have to share with you some of those lovely screenshots I’ve been taking over the past few months, starting with the last bits of the Australia tour.

Today saw Trooping the Color, the formal celebration of The Queen’s birthday (which was in late April). Our favorite trio (I guess they are a quartet, now that George is around) looked very elegant on the balcony of Buckingham Palace! The Duchess looked so darn polished, as usual.

Prince Philip turned 93 (!!!!) this week, another milestone–and he’s still going strong! There was also the opening of parliament–these folks have been busy!

Anyway, I am sorry for the absence, as usual; hopefully when the wedding is over there will be some semblance of normalcy. Also, I have surprises I want to share with everyone. Here’s a hint:
