HRH Prince George Alexander Louis’ Christening Day

This afternoon His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge will be christened at St. James’ Palace in London. The Royal and Middleton families have arrived for the ceremony, which is taking place as I write. Below are some preliminary photos of the arrivals.

OHMYGOD THAT BABY!!! He looks just like his father did when he was an infant–and look at those cheeks!!! Luckily, I’m alone in my office right now because I actually exclaimed out loud when I saw the photo.

The godparents have also been announced. In a “surprise” move (I don’t think it’s all that surprising, since they’ve made so many forward-thinking moves lately) the only member of the Royal Family assigned as a godparent to the little prince is William’s cousin, Zara Phillips, who is also pregnant with her first child. The others include long-term friends of the couple, as well as a close friend of the late Princess of Wales.

Forget what the Duchess is wearing, I want a dress like what he’s wearing! If I had something like that I wouldn’t take it off. Ever.

The Royal couple has been joined by all of their immediate family, as well as The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. More photos will come, especially once the official portraits are released.

I’ve only been at this job for seven months, but my coworker already texted me this morning to wish me a happy christening day. What a great way to start the day!
