The Cambridges woke to more humidity (surprise, surprise) on their last morning in Singapore. They left their lovely hotel, Raffles, to a horde of people before heading to the Kranji Commonwealth War Cemetery. There are over 4,500 servicemen buried in the cemetery. The Duke and Duchess lay a wreath at the memorial and also gave their respects to those who died while defending Singapore.
And no, this Jenny Packham dress is not particularly exciting and has a schoolmarm-y charm, but what else is she going to do at a war memorial?! The parasol is a nice touch, although clearly that is needed to protect them both from the heat.
The Royal couple is currently having lunch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the Prime Minister after their short flight from Singapore. After that they will go to a hospice where the Duchess will give her first public overseas speech and the first live speech in front of her husband! As usual, stay tuned for more updates once I’ve had some sleep.
