Royal Wedding: The events leading to this blog

On November 16, 2010, Buckingham Palace (via Clarence House, the office of HRH Prince Charles) announced the engagement of HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton. Less than a week later it was announced that the wedding would take place on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in the heart of London.

Not even a week after that announcement I purchased a plane ticket for London. I have been a British Royalty fan since I came out of the womb; going to London for the wedding of the century was just one of those things that had to be done. I also knew that if I didn’t go, I would regret missing one of the most important events in my history as a British-Monarchy-loving Anglophile.

This blog is also a success story in diligence! I am honored to have the readership that I do (even if half of you are obligated to me in a familial way) and now that we are getting so close to the wedding I am so excited that it’s difficult to contain! Thanks to all of you for reading!
